All of us at the IronLine wanted everyone to know that we have started meeting to plan our race for 2015! Our race date is set for the same weekend as last year, January 30-31. This date seems to work the best for our community and situating us in between the other upper Midwest races.
We are pleased to announce that we have many of our volunteers and support staff returning from last year. That means a great trail crew, a seasoned race marshall, awesome dog-handling, and dedicated vets to name a few. We will be sticking to our established trail for the 10-Dog race, and hopefully adding some more scenery for the 6-Dog. Distances will be very similar to last year. We will keep our 4-Dog Rec. class and will be adding ski-jor and a FATBIKE race that we are very, very excited about! (Many details to come)
The IronLine is dedicated to bringing a superb trail, fun environment, great community and spectators, while also remaining competitive and exciting for our seasoned mushers. Hopefully, we will indeed have another great IronLine race that is “fun for the whole family!”
More details will be coming soon. Find us on Facebook and the occasional video on YouTube for updates. And last but not least, get ready for winter!
*WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO TAKE TIME TO THANK OUR COMMUNITY OF IRON COUNTY/IRON RIVER, MICHIGAN FOR ITS OVERWHELMING SUPPORT!
